It makes me sad...
It makes me sad that someone doing something polite is seen as shocking. I hate the look of shock on peoples faces when I say “Thank you” or when I hold the door open.  It shouldn’t be like that. Everyone should say “please” and “Thank you” and do their best do be respectful. I don’t understand why they don’t.
